The Sailors Ball is famous for its theme room format. Guests glide from room to room throughout the evening and discover different sights, sounds and experiences. Here are some of the Theme Rooms you will experience this year:
The Mount Gay Rum Sailors Room
Mount Gay Rum is the traditional drink of all sailors throughout the world. Slide up to this bar and ask for a Mount Gay & tonic or try one of the new cocktails for this coming summer. There is nothing as refreshing as a Mount Gay Rum drink after a day of racing on the water. Mount Gay Rum has been a sponsor of the Sailors Ball since the very first edition. This year, the Mount Gay Rum Room will feature a photo booth where you and your favorite guests can capture a picture for posterity. This is also where the sailors from De Caribbean Regatta will gather for a reunion at 10 pm! Put on your dancing shoes and don’t be late because the reunion lasts only for 3 songs. Watch out for this excitement and see you there.
The Mala Vida Studio 54 Tequila Bar
The Mala Vida amazing ice sculpture sets the tone for a wild ride at the Sailors Ball. And when you combine this with the Studio 54 Disco Room, watch out! This will be the place.
The Botanist 007 Casino Room
The Casino/Martini Room is normally to busiest when the doors open at 9 pm. You can start with a stiff drink which is shaken, not stirred and then try your luck at one of the many casino-style tables. There is a high level of energy and excitement in this room as people roll the dice.

The Screen Door Chardonnay and “Sound Off” Silent Disco
You put on your head set, tap the side to change channels until you and your partner’s lights are the same, and then it happens. The magic of the “Sound Off” Silent Disco takes over. Rock the house. And if the next song does not light your fire, tap our headset again and search the next channel.
The Red Hot Royal Room
Bathed in a beautiful glowing light the ROYAL ROOM is where you are treated like Kings and Queens with Vera Wang Prosecco, Boondocks Whiskey and LVOV vodka. The mood in the room is set by the DJ who will cycle through some of the greatest hits of our era and put you in a dancing mood.
The Midnight Boom Boom Room
From midnight until the ball ends at 1 am, the Boom Boom Room is where it is happening. There will be a driving beat, light show and huge speakers. You will feel the energy as the crowd moves in unison and party goers dance closer and closer, navigating the social conventions and seeing if they are ready to settle down at dock. No one is ready and for one hour, the Boom Boom Room lives up to its reputation and full on. Damn the torpedoes and FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!
The Red Carpet Experience
Most guests start their Sailors Ball experience with a stop on the red carpet. This is where you can shine and be photographed in your best clothing. Be sure to turn your shoulders towards the camera and slightly twist your hips. Then smile!
